“Takanobu Kurimata"

Born in 1973.
In 1998, at the age of 25, he began dealing in antiques, specializing in Japanese objects,
and later began self-taught woodworking and interior design.
As a culmination of his efforts, he began creating works in his current style in 2019.

His art-making process begins with the search for beautiful and rare Japanese wood,
using his skills as an antique dealer.
He imagines a form that matches the potential of each of these materials

The above means that his work cannot be duplicated.
Every piece of his work you get is one of a kind in this world.

His works exist in the middle of the artificial and the natural,
the traditional and the modern, and the beauty of harmony is emphasized.
Much art of the past is precipitated in him as a matter of course,
but what he builds is not retroactive to it, but perfectly present.

It is unconsciously consistent with the cultural formation that the Japanese people have
nurtured since ancient times.

is the name of Takanobu Kurimata's own brand that sells unique pieces of art furniture,
interior design, and Japanese antiques that he has selected.
